About the Minor Program

The School offers a minor in data science for students enrolled in IIT Palakkad's other B.Tech programs. The objective of this program is to equip the students with the enccessary skills for applying data analytics to their respective fields. The students will have access to cutting-edge resources and expertise that can complement their core engineering knowledge. This combination makes graduates more versatile and industry-ready, as modern engineering solutions increasingly require data-driven decision making across all disciplines.

The minor program adheres to the revised institute undergradaute program regulations. The students have to earn a minimum of 12 credits (outside their current program PMC and PME) by taking courses from a list below. The students are allowed to undertake an NPTEL course as a pre-requisite for the courses listed in the minor basket; however the NPTEL course will not be counted towards the minor requirements.
